Fall For Anything

It’s been a good week in the world: more time to wait on the Clinton/ Obama pandemonium. A new discovery for me! Have you ever checked out finishing school? Pretty neat collective of artists from all around the country making work and generating ideas about public space, interaction and the weird schism between “art” and the people who try to “get it”. Check them out at Finishing-School.net.  Also on my radar is the newly released Weepies CD (which came out yesterday). I have yet to get it but I’ve listened to the oh-so-handy 30 second clips on itunes and word on the street is that they’ve made another great listening experience. Meanwhile on a more LOCAL level, STARS (indie Toronto band) is playing at the Boulder Theater tonight and it is bound to be AH-mazing. Unfortunately, I just bought a new circular saw so I can’t get the cash to attend but they better believe I will be blasting Up In Our Bedroom, After The War all night long. On a VERY LOCAL level, I have converted my house into a shop/studio/screen-printing factory/house of cancer (I really should invest in a respirator rather than a bandana for my spray-paint stuff) with about a MILLION projects aimed at renewing my relationship with the love of my life. Yes that is right art and I were on a break but now we’re back together and going strong. My advice for the day: Unplug your TV, pick it up, carry it out of your door, and pitch it in the dumpster.
